What?!? No more backlinks in SEO? Well sadly, it’s been noted by Google that backlinks aren’t very important anymore and won’t be doing much of an effort. I still see many SEO agencies that still sell only backlink packages, and write it off as “SEO” and “Digital Marketing”. Backlinks can still do help in ranking websites, but you shouldn’t be building backlinks, and spend your time getting organic backlinks through other methods.

Uploading content regularly and having a blog is one of the most important factors in ranking websites. Regularly uploading new content to your website, when analyzed by Google it shows that there is a lot about your website, and if it’s quality content and not spam, rankings will increase. As well as with proper usage of a blog. That is something not enough websites are using to utilize their rankings on Google. Posting regularly on a blog (about your own website and niche) will account into website content, and rank higher.
Another important aspect of getting a website ranked on Google in 2019 is maintaining a positive reputation. Keeping this reputation up can be done through Google reviews, and any other trustworthy source of information, providing your business with positive reviews. A website that has a poor reputation will not be in Google’s considerations in 2019, so make sure the reviews are real quality reviews. Google can detect fake and spam reviews and that will permanently hurt the websites rankings.
Google is now ranking on other factors that had almost no importance in 2018 and the years before. Google has completely upped their game and has started ranking websites based on how fast their pages load and update. It is important to get your website audited and tested for page speed, to see if it can be approved upon, and see why it may be a potential factor why your website just isn’t ranking.
USER FUNCTIONALITY AND EXPERIENCE
Another important thing is a fully functional website, as well as a website that also provides a very positive user experience. If a website is loosely put together and poorly interlinked, the web spiders cannot easily crawl the site, and as of 2019, they will not rank your website anymore. So having a tightly knitted together website is playing a very important factor in 2019.
